Kakutani’s approach reflects the idea that reality and realization come from the accumulation of people’s experiences.
The landscapes in his artworks are universal and often fragmented fragments of everyday life.
In particular, in the “Frosted Window” and “Curtain” series, some of the details in acrylic paint are rendered as if filtered out and obscured.
It has a structure that is complemented by the viewer’s memory.
