PROFILE
“Drip color link series”
The conventional “combine” series is a collage of fragmented information such as memories and emotions of the place when you actually go to the site.
On the other hand, this “Link” series is a fictional space created by collage of symbolic motifs of images of each place that I imagine. It is also a point that the previous work does not have a person.
First of all, monochrome was added to express it. So far, we have converted all the information to color, but this time we artificially removed the color to make that information simple and clear. The act of losing color in me is the same as subtraction.
The composition has also changed from a parallel perspective to a 360-degree spherical perspective.
In this exhibition, I drew a fictional cityscape of “Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo”.
These four lands have selected the areas around me where the state of emergency was declared in Corona.
In this situation, when I confronted reality, I witnessed how the virus easily disrupted everyday life. In such an unprecedented era, people live a normal life while resisting. .. It is a work that imagines such a situation.
