MU GALLERY is pleased to present “ENDLESS TIDE” by VATH 1/15(sat) to 1/25(sat).
【VATH】
Born in Tokyo in1978.
He learned painting and sculpture from his grandfather who was an art teacher.
Inspired by Kaii Higashiyama’s art collection “Travels in Northern Europe”, he traveled to four Scandinavian countries including Norway.
While interacting with nature and the local people at the places where he stayed,
he was strongly attracted to the connection between nature and people and the changing forms of nature.
He has exhibited his work in Sweden and Japan, and has participated in group exhibitions.
He continues to work between Stockholm and Tokyo.

【Statement】
I’ve loved looking at the ocean since I was a little boy.
As I traveled around Scandinavia in my 20s, I became strongly attracted to the nature that surrounded me,
the connections between nature and people, and the changing forms of nature.
As I watch the tides rise and fall, I sometimes sense a rich melody or melody in the powerful swell.
I tried to express the ENDLESS TIDE that continues to change toward a golden future.
I hope you can feel the tremendous foreboding and passion.
